Visit Shawnee Wegiwa
Take your next vacation at Shawnee Wegiwa, an authentic hand-hewn log cabin located near the New River in Giles County, in the small town of Eggleston, Virginia. The cabin, named in honor of the Native Americans who resided in this part of Giles County many years ago, is an unexpected visit to the past. The two-bedroom cabin can accomodate up to six guests for overnight stays and also offers an ideal spot for reunions, events, and all sorts of parties (up to 30 visitors).

Located nearby is the beautiful, ever-changing New River. Despite its name, the river is considered by some geologists to be possibly one of the oldest rivers in the world, between 10 million and 360 million years old. According to local folklore, it is considered to be second in age only to the Nile River and thus the oldest in North America.

Come to fish, hunt, enjoy the river, or simply to relax. You'll be glad you did!
